The Microsoft Professional Program (MPP) is a collection of courses that teach skills in several core technology tracks that help you excel in the industry’s newest job roles.
These courses are created and taught by experts and feature quizzes, hands-on labs, and engaging communities. For each track you complete, you earn a certificate of completion from Microsoft proving that you mastered those skills.

Professional Program vs Certification Program
The Microsoft Professional Program complements the Microsoft Certification Program (MCP). The MPP was created to help close a skills gap by teaching conceptual and technical skills together for a variety of technologies. The MCP tends to focus on validating existing technical skills for people using specific pieces of Microsoft technology. To be fair it must be said that MPP also tends to focus on Microsoft solutions (i.e. all courses and labs that need any cloud services make use of Azure instead of AWS), but the curriculum is not limited to Microsoft products only.
